Nursery Rooms: 3-5 Years Room

Our 3 – 5 room provides both care and education for children in their Pre-school and Anti Pre-school years.
We operate in partnership with North Ayrshire Council and offer funded places within this area.
Our qualified staff use the document “Curriculum for Excellence “ as set out by the Scottish Office when planning , observing and evaluating children’s progress.
We use a Key worker system within the playroom and work closely with the parents / carers in ensuring children’s individual needs are met.
We welcome parental participation through Home Link Programmes, Eco School projects, Open Days and individual learning grids.
Every child is involved in the planning of activities and recording of their progress in their Record of Achievement File which is available for parents to review at any time.
This room provides a wide variety of resources and learning experiences for children to explore independently to develop their skills and learning.


I have explored numbers understanding that they represent quantities and I can use them to count sequence and describe order.	I enjoy exploring and choosing stories to watch read or listen to.	I am becoming aware of how cleanliness and hygiene can effect health and wellbeing and I apply this knowledge in my every day routine.
